Spoke Pattern

Here is another item that looks better in the photo than in real life! The surface of the dome has some small bruising and there are lots of air bubbles in the interior.

Disregarding the negative features, this weight has good examples of "Vasart" complex canes within a thick tube. The off-white of the main canes works well with the dark ground and the orange and white of the twists. The twists are of a style and colour that is quite often seen in the stopper of "Vasart" (or earlier?) Ink Bottles.

Note that the blue central cane looks more like a group of separate canes set into a thick rod rather than a well-organised ring of canes in a tube casing.
