Concentric

This weight actually looks better in the photograph than it does in real life! It has a very high internal dome with all the canes set proud of the surface. From a side or oblique view, it appears rather too "busy". But nevertheless it is an interesting item, having a mix of design features.

The two outer rows have canes structured like those in the signed concentric weight shown in this article. Within those rows is a ring of fairly simple cog canes. The central portion contains a row with nine different canes, including a "Rose".

In the centre of the weight, the white cane with its orange outer ring gives a striking contrast to the dark blue of the ground.
