For this first stage of analysis, all items are known to be by Paul Ysart, having a PY cane or a script signature or Monart label. There is, therefore, little to be gained from matching canes in these items. However, the details provide a good starting point for the real work of matching against unsigned and unlabelled weights. Also, it will be seen that, amongst just the eighteen pieces discussed so far, there is substantial linking via common canes.
In this table, the Inkwell is the main feature, providing links to six other items. Some of the additional items also have links to others as indicated. It is interesting to note that the Inkwll, dated 1946, has links to items from the 1930s, 1940s, 1950s and 1970s. The lattter item is the script signed blue Roundels weight at the top left.

In the following table, each weight has the same cane shown. At first site, it seems doubtful that these are all the same cane. But it is true. The various settings and qualities of the glass domes produce somewhat varied visual appearances. The Fish is 1950s period; the Dragonfly and Concentric are 1940s period.
