An attractive flower with blue and
purple striped petals, brown stem and green striped leaves is set over a pink
and white jasper ground. This design is simple but very effective. Although it
does not contribute a great deal to the range of canes shown in this article,
the presence of the PY cane authenticates the pink-yellow cane used as the
central portion of the flower head.
The signature cane is a little
untidy when compared to others of the same style and period, but it is only in
close-up view that this is really apparent.
Clear glass indicates 1950s or
later. UV tests confirm the Caithness period of 1963 to 1970.
