This is a well-balanced design of a
flower with stem and three leaves floating in a basket of filigree and red and
yellow drawn canes.
The flower has a double layer of
brown petals around an open-centred pink-white cane. The stem is of striped
light green and the leaves are a darker green with even darker stripes. The
drawn canes have a ribbed outer sleeve around a white cog cane which has an
inner element of a smaller cog cane in a similar style but of contrasting
colour coating.
The signature cane is set at the
lower junction of stem and the lower leaf. This is a feature often seen in Paul
Ysart flower designs.
Clear glass indicates 1950s or
later. UV tests confirm the Caithness period of 1963 - 1970.
