Although the brothers, Vincent and Augustine, made paperweights during the Ysart Brothers period (1946 to 1956), it is very likely that lampwork items were the work of the father, Salvador.

The two items in Row 1 are both 3D insects set over a concentric millefiori ground. Several weights of this type are known. Less common are 2D butterfly weights, like the example at Row 2, Col 1 - these have the insect set flush with the ground, in the style preffered by Paul Ysart.

The 3D Dragonfly weight is included here as a possible Salvador item - it's UV results tie in with other Ysart Brothers pieces. However, there are two 3D Butterfly weights in Perth Museum & Art Gallery having UV results suggesting a later date. One of those Butterfly weights has canes which link well with the Dragonfly weight and it may be the case that the Dragonfly was made in the Vasart Ltd. years, after Salvador and Augustine had died - but not by Vincent, who apparently had no interest in making lampwork items.
