Central Cluster

These weights could be regarded as "concentric" or "spoke" designs but the cluster of central canes (a small version of the closepack design) is a particular feature. As with the main Closepack weights, these clusters have a variation of surrounding garland - or, as in the first example at Row 1, Col 1, no true cluster garland at all. The final example (Row 2, Col 3) has a slightly yellowed dome suggesting the 1940s period, but UV tests show it to be 1970s.
